Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.

Candidates need to upload proof of residency, such as a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.

Educational Qualification:

A degree in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science from a recognized university or institution is required.

Relevant semester/year mark sheets and pass certificates need to be uploaded.

Age Limit:

Minimum age: 21 years

Maximum age: 38 years (as of 01/01/2024)

Relaxation in upper age limit is provided for certain categories as per government norms.

SC/ST candidates:

Maximum age limit extended by 5 years, making it up to 43 years.

OBC/IVOBC candidates:

Maximum age limit extended by 3 years, making it up to 41 years as per Government Notification No. ABP.6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.

Ex-Servicemen:

Maximum age limit for Unreserved category is 50 years as of 01/01/2024, further relaxable by 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates as per Government Notification No. ABP.48/2009/84 dated 19th December 2012.

Persons with benchmark disability (PWBD):

Maximum age limit extended by 10 years irrespective of SC/ST/OBC and UR Category of candidates as per Government Memorandum No. ABP 180/2017/105 dated Dispur the 7th January 2019.

Application Process

Applications must be submitted online through the APSC recruitment website.

Candidates need to register and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process.

  • Within the portal, find and click on the option to register yourself.
  • Complete the registration process by providing all required details.

  • Proceed to pay the examination fee through the designated payment method.
  • Upon successful payment, your application will be submitted.
  • You will receive an acknowledgement copy of your submission.
  • Keep the acknowledgement copy for future reference and use.
  • Applicants should ensure all necessary documents are uploaded correctly.
  • The closing date for applications is 10th April 2024.

Application Fees

  • A processing fee of Rs. 40.00/ + 18% tax (Rs. 47.20/-) will be charged for each application.
  • Fee relaxation is available for certain categories, but relevant certificates must be provided.
  • General: Rs. 297.20/
  • SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs. 197.20/
  • BPL: Rs. 47.20/
  • PwBD: Rs. 47.20/
  • Applications without the prescribed fee will be rejected.

Documents Required for Interview

Original and self-attested copies of educational certificates, caste certificate, BPL certificate (if applicable), and other supporting documents must be produced.

Declaration Form related to Small Family norms must be submitted.
